..Marie Johns’ Simple Slimming Solution delivers exactly that … Simple Slimming Solutions with knowledge, passion and commitment to her individual clients. Realistic and achievable is how it works, and it actually does. Maries’ short course is an ideal introduction to get started on a brilliant new informed approach to eating and exercise. A few tweaks here and there… some of us just needed to be shown the error of our ways and Marie will do that with the science to back it up.   Just had to get two new holes put in my favourite belt as it is now too big  - a  total of 8 inches and 9lbs lost…..result!!   And the course was fun!!

The classes help keep me motivated to exercise.  I enjoy the workouts to music at your own pace.  I think the cognitive "games" are so important at keeping our memories alert. We all seem to get more forgetful as we get older and in truth, once over 60 the fear of  developing dementia increases.  The strength and balance exercises are also really helpful to me and I try to continue them at home as much as possible.  You have created a friendly, welcoming class for older people to meet and keep fit in different ways and I'm so pleased that I joined.

I started Marie’s Simple Slimming Solution course because I was at a time of life where I was struggling to maintain my weight – putting weight on was easy, losing it seemed like an uphill struggle!  I liked the idea of no calorie counting and that it was an eating plan for life, creating new healthy habits - not just doing it for a limited time period after which you revert back to old unhealthy ways.

The guidelines were simple to understand and involved specific tweaks to my current diet.  Writing in the food diary kept me on track and support was always on hand from Marie, plus from the rest of the group at the weekly meetings and from the facebook group.  Marie’s talks help me understand much more about how our bodies function and why certain god and bad eating habits affect us so much.

My goal for the ten weeks was to lose 6lbs but, to be honest, I would have been happy to have ended it at the same weight as I started and not to have put any on.  But, to my complete amazement I lost a total of 11lbs by the end of the 10 week course!  Plus, I had also lost inches in size and my clothes now feel loose and comfortable rather than tight.  I feel lighter, slimmer and healthier.  All of this with never once going hungry, never once counting a calorie and having had meals out, takeaways, alcohol and chocolate during that time (all in moderation of course!).  And another bonus is that my skin feels softer from drinking the extra water.

I am so happy with my transformation and cannot thank Marie enough – I genuinely did not think I could lose weight that easily.  And, I am confident that I will carry on with it – after all it’s easy to do and I feel so much better for it, so why not..

Just to let you know how much I enjoy and appreciate your Move it or Lose it Classes on Monday mornings.  I really look forward to meeting everyone in such a jolly atmosphere and doing the exercises which are not too taxing!  I'm sure it does me a lot of good in several ways that make me feel better .
